I felt that here at Greentone I could have an impactful presence in the industry. I’m passionate about normalizing cannabis’ place within the community, and by the opportunity to bring our company values and great brands to life.
I think that in using a unique framework, Greentone has carved out a place for itself with in a crowded industry. I was attracted to our brands that I think really resonate with consumers.
From a cultural perspective Greentone also stands out. Here, no one works in isolation. It is a team effort. We exchange ideas and everyone has a seat at the table. Our voices are heard, and we support each other. Honesty, respect for each other and inclusivity are what make a company successful. Collaboration is crucial in an organization, and I think we do that well here.
Representation matters a great deal to me, and I feel this process is authentically driven at Greentone. My value isn’t limited to fulfilling a particular demographic need, but based on my skill set, industry knowledge, and passion for the business. I have seat at the table.
Black History Month was in February, but we are publishing this profile in March. I like that because it’s important to remind people that support for the community needs to be constant. I’m black 365 days a year, not just 28 days in the shortest month of the year.
Check out the video of Theresa Ta reading her poem ‘You so Black.’ It’s a beautiful expression of what people of colour experience in life in general, but also encapsulates our strength.
“La Vie en Vert'' translates to Life is Green and for me, that life isgood here at Greentone. A place where diversity, inclusion and mutual respectare an integral part of the organization. Green symbolizes what we cultivate, but also a place to grow, and here at Greentone we are growing together!
We’re looking for people who will grow by our side. Is that you?
